The existence of new media, especially the internet and social has a broad impact on life human civilization, including world mass media industry. are seen as having significant urgency because their influences contemporary journalism practices in terms perception, agenda setting, framing, reporting practices, production news publication. This study examines perception journalists Surakarta City regarding for practices. research used qualitative method which data were collected through interviews documentation. results found that (1) something inevitable press; (2) modern technology positive (3) negative press.
